PayMod: Your Gusto payroll journal.
Balanced QuickBooks entry in one drop!

QuickBooks Online has no native bulk import for journal entries. This turns a raw Gusto Payroll Journal export into a balanced, department-split journal entry file QBO accepts — no manual debits and credits, no spreadsheet math.

How it works

  1. Tell us your QuickBooks setup
  2. Get your export
From Gusto, download your Payroll Journal Report CSV — see exactly where to find it below.
  3. Upload & convert
Drop the file in below — this uses 1 credit and gives you back a QuickBooks-ready file.
  4. Import into QuickBooks
In QuickBooks Online Advanced (or UK/Canada, any plan), go to Settings → Import Data → Journal Entries, upload the downloaded CSV — QuickBooks maps the columns automatically since they already match Intuit's own template.

Where do I get this file?
  1. In Gusto, go to Reports
  2. Build/open the Payroll Journal Report — not Payroll Summary from Pay History, which has different columns
  3. Set the date range to one pay period
  4. Export as CSV
  5. Download the CSV — that's the file to drop below
